- Patients at high risk for open heart surgery (advanced age, kidney failure, lung disease).
- Patients with NYHA Class III-IV symptoms persisting despite 6 months of optimal treatment, with an EF between 20%-60%.
- Patients with suitable mitral valve anatomy (minimal calcification, adequate chordal thickening).
- Patients who need to avoid blood thinners and women of childbearing age.
