- Basic Definition: Penis enlargement surgery (Falloplasty) is a surgical procedure aimed at increasing the size of the penis. It is performed for micropenis (less than 7 cm), medical reasons or aesthetic purposes. According to the World Health Organization criteria, micropenis is a penis length of less than 7 cm in individuals with normal hormone levels.
- Expected Results: The procedure provides an average increase of 3.2 cm in length and a 20-30% increase in girth. For safety reasons, the maximum length increase is limited to 4 cm.
- Anaesthesia and Surgery: It is a 1.5-2 hour procedure performed under local anaesthesia and sedation, or general anaesthesia if required. It requires 24 hours of hospital observation.
- Thickening Techniques: The patient’s own fat tissue transfer or hyaluronic acid-based fillers are used.
- Patient Eligibility: BMI between 20-27, age group 18-65 (ideal 25-55), normal blood values are required. Smoking must be stopped 1 month before and blood thinners 10 days before the surgery.
- Recovery Process: Ice application for the first 48 hours, 14 days of sexual abstinence and 4-6 weeks of heavy exercise restriction are required.
- Necessary Tests: Blood count, coagulation, hormone, kidney-liver function tests are performed. Cardiopulmonary evaluation is required for those over 40 years of age.
- Results and Follow-up: There is an 85-90% success rate for permanent length increase. Partial volume loss may be seen in the first 6 months with fat transfer. Fillers are effective for 1-1.5 years. Patient satisfaction is 82%.
